Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Blending Technician to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for operating blending and mixing equipment, accurately weighing and measuring ingredients, maintaining production documentation, and ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with GMP, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Operations: * Operate and maintain blending equipment in accordance with batch records and production schedules. * Review batch tickets and raw materials for accuracy and completeness prior to production. * Operate pumps, blenders, mixers, filters, and related processing equipment. * Measure ingredients in the proper quantities and sequence according to approved formulations. * Draw samples of raw materials and finished blends for Quality Control and R&D. * Perform equipment washdowns, cleaning, and sanitation procedures between batches. * Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports. Quality and Compliance: * Follow all GMP, SOP, and safety procedures during manufacturing activities. * Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. * Maintain cleanliness and organization within the blending area. * Identify and report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or process deviations. Team Support: * Collaborate with production, quality, and warehouse personnel to support manufacturing schedules. * Assist with additional production-related tasks as assigned. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED required. * Previous blending, mixing, food production, or cooking experience preferred. * Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or blending experience preferred. * Basic computer literacy and math skills. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * Ability to work independently and within a team environment. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Work Environment: * Manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and ingredients. * Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion. * Must be able to work extended shifts and overtime as needed. * PPE required while working on the production floor.
