We are looking for a Blind Assembler to join us in our Specialist Department, working as part of a small, friendly team, based at our blind factory in Ashford, Kent. Conservatory Blinds Design & Manufacturing Ltd is a family owned, family run company, that has been trading for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on the quality and innovation of our products.
The role will include the following:
· Assembling Lantern Blinds
· Cording
· Programming
· Assembling small parts
· Using tools including drills and saws
· Following correct Health & Safety procedures
· Providing support to other departments.
Full training will be given for this role, but the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with tools or in an assembly or manufacturing environment. Candidate’s will need a positive attitude, be reliable and eager to learn.
The starting hourly rate will be of £12.30 per hour, overtime may be available paid at time and a half over 40 hours. Once you have successfully completed your 3-month probation the hourly rate will increase to £13.30 per hour.
Working hours are 5 days a week (Monday - Thursday 8 am-5 pm, 1-hour break; Friday 7 am-4 pm. 1 hour break). Additional hours maybe required due to the needs of the business.
Annual leave is 28 days, including bank holidays.
