OVERVIEW

We are seeking 2 skilled Block Pavers to joiner a project in Swansea, starting Monday 1st September. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of block paving around a large commercial building. The ideal candidates must possess a strong understanding of masonry techniques and demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential.
  • Ability to effectively use both hand tools and power tools related to the construction industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid CSCS card
  • 3+ years experience as a block paver, or in a similar role.
  • Basic block paving tools are also a bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Lay blocks, bricks, or stones in accordance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Prepare surfaces by clearing debris, levelling ground, and ensuring proper drainage.
  • Utilise hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to achieve precise alignment and finish.
  • Operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on installed block paving to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
  • Follow safety protocols to minimise risks on-site and ensure a safe working environment.
