Description Block Tech I – Texas Speed Location This position is responsible for the Block Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and Performance. Reports to Block Department Manager. Pay Range: $16h-$19h Specific Duties and Responsibilities Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability) Visual Inspection of all blocks from start to finish Prep blocks and visually inspect blocks before machining Prep blocks for engine builds (install cam bearings and plugs) Prep sleeves and block for sleeving (deburr sleeves / heat block in oven) Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment. Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the block department. Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager. Requirements Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving. Exceptional Mechanical Abilities Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, ect..)
Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the Block Department through engine tear down, visual inspection, and preparing blocks for machining and builds. This includes installing cam bearings, plugs, and performing sleeving processes while maintaining safety standards.
