POSITION SUMMARY: The Blood Services Education Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive education programs for both SCC customers and internal staff across Blood Services solutions, including SoftBank, SoftDonor, SoftID.Tx, and SoftRecruit. This role ensures that users are effectively trained to maximize system utilization, support operational workflows, and maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The specialist serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and collaborates cross-functionally to continuously improve educational content, delivery methods, and overall customer experience.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Education & Training Delivery * Deliver high-quality training to customers and SCC staff in multiple formats, including: * Instructor-led training (remote and onsite) * Virtual sessions and webinars * Self-paced eLearning modules * Tailor training approaches to support varying roles (clinical, operational, administrative, technical). * Translate complex Blood Services workflows and system functionality into clear, user-friendly instruction. Curriculum Development & Content Management * Design and maintain structured learning programs for: * SoftBank (Transfusion Service) * SoftDonor (Donor Management) * SoftID.Tx (Bedside Transfusion) * SoftRecruit (Donor Recruitment) * Develop and update: * Training guides * Job aids * Standard operating procedures (SOPs) * eLearning content and videos * Ensure all materials reflect current product functionality, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Customer Enablement & Adoption * Support customer onboarding, go-lives, and post-implementation education. * Identify knowledge gaps and provide targeted training to improve adoption and efficiency. * Partner with Project Managers, Implementation teams, and Support to ensure a seamless education experience. Internal Education & Knowledge Transfer * Train SCC internal teams (Support, PMO, Implementation, Sales) on Blood Services solutions. * Contribute to internal knowledge base and standardization of training materials. * Act as a liaison between Product, Support, and Education to ensure alignment on system updates and enhancements. Continuous Improvement & Evaluation * Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. * Continuously refine curriculum and delivery methods to improve learning outcomes. * Stay current with: * Industry trends in Blood Services and Transfusion Medicine * Regulatory requirements (AABB, FDA, CAP, etc.) * SCC product enhancements Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement * Establish strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. * Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve customer experience and product usability. * Support educational strategy aligned with SCC organizational goals.
