JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating injection molding machines equipment. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality plastic parts while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC) for machine operation. (preferred)
  • 1+ years’ experience operating blow molding or similar plastic forming equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production machinery.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
  • Experience with quality inspection techniques to ensure product standards are met.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

· Operate, monitor, and adjust blow molding machines according to production requirements and safety standards.
· Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition before use.
· Perform in-process quality checks (e.g., container integrity, weight, appearance) to ensure compliance with production standards.
· Document production data and maintain accurate shift records.
· Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical and process issues to minimize downtime.
· Assist with mold and material changeovers as scheduled.
· Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all operations are conducted in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
· Report all unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, and near misses immediately to the supervisor.
· Comply with all workplace safety protocols, policies, and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses).
· Participate in required health and safety training, safety talks, inspections, and drills as per company and OHSA standards.
· Handle raw materials and finished products in accordance with safe material handling practices and WHMIS requirements.
· Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production and safety targets.
· Other duties as assigned/required
