Description Essential Functions: · Actively communicates with co-workers - key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement. · Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions. · Set-up, operate and adjust molding machines for production. · Preventative maintenance on all molds. · Track breakdowns and repairs molds. · Track process data as required on appropriate forms. · Collects data from process capability and stability. · Solve basic molding machine operating problems. · Conduct raw material evaluations as required. · Improve and maintain machine cycles to meet or exceed standards. · Coordinate with quality and production for troubleshooting and resolving daily production problems. · Assist in machine and mold qualification and capability studies. · Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately, or if appropriate personnel need to be called. · Maintains 5S environment in work area. · Ability to follow verbal or written instructions. · Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies. · Review the manufacturing process schedule. · Diagnose and troubleshoot minor problems in the manufacturing process. · May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs. · Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. General Functions: · Collaborates with other members of the production team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time. · Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses. · Maintains a clean and organized work environment. · Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager. · Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork.
