JOB SUMMARY The Blow Molding Technician operates, monitors, and troubleshoots machinery to produce plastic bottles, ensuring high-quality production, proper material flow, and adherence to safety standards. The role involves trimming flash, inspecting finished bottles, packing containers, and conducting minor maintenance in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties Set up and run blow molding machinery to produce plastic bottles, managing heat and pressure settings. Inspect finished containers for defects (e.g., flash, improper weight) using visual inspections and, often, automated leak detectors. Monitor raw materials and ensure consistent, efficient production flow. Perform minor maintenance (e.g., removing jammed bottles), clean molds, and adhere strictly to safety protocols, including wearing proper safety gear. Identifying and resolving basic machine errors, such as air pressure issues or clogged, improperly formed, or flat parts Performing complex machine setups, troubleshooting, and making adjustments to the extruder, mold, and trimmer. Required Qualifications · Prior experience in blow molding and plastic manufacturing highly preferred, not required · Strong attention to detail, ability to use hand tools, and hard working & leadership skills Work Environment + Physical Requirements Ability to stand for 8-12 hours, able to use stairs, and lift up to 50+ pounds. Operate in a hot, fast-paced environment Must be comfortable with heights Must be open to a flexible schedule, including working 12-hour shifts, holidays, and weekends Personal Protective Equipment Slip-resistant, safety-toes shoes.
