JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blow Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating blow moulding machines, ensuring production quality, and maintaining equipment. This role requires an understanding of machinery and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Blow Moulding Technician will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the efficiency and quality of our products.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Blow Moulding Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Understanding of logic controllers and their applications in machinery operation.
  • Ability to weld is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with packaging processes is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates blow moulding machines to produce HDPE bottles from virgin polyethylene resin according to prescribed specifications.
  • Operate and monitor blow moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic products.
  • Uses appropriate moulds and equipment settings according to the production batch.
  • Monitors inventory of raw materials and requisitions replenishment product as required.
  • Tests and inspects finished product by using random samples for product conformance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process.
  • Coordinates major repairs with inhouse technical personnel or specialist contract facilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Updates logbooks and completes all documentation necessary for cGMP regulations. Document production data accurately for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Arranges for disposal of waste in environmentally acceptable manner (regrind or shipment to brokers dealing with materials of this nature)
