Description Job Summary The Blow Mold Associate is responsible for removing finished products from the molds and trimming excess plastic from the parts. Essential Functions: Operates blow mold machines. Removes and clean excess material from product. Inspects product for quality control. Weighs parts every 15 minutes or as directed by supervisor. Assists with material, color and product change procedures. Prepares boxes to put finished product, labels and tapes boxes. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor or department lead or manager. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to the supervisor or department manager. Assist in training new blow mold associates. General Functions: Collaborates with other members of the production team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time. Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager. Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail: The ability to accurately inspect and assemble parts to engineering specifications. Time management skills: The ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks is important to ensure products are built and prepared for shipment on time. Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are important to work effectively with other team members. Organizational skills: The ability to keep track of stages of the assembly process, part numbers and inventory counts, and physical awareness of part locations and proper areas for staging assembled parts. Basic math skills: Basic arithmetic skills are necessary for accurately counting parts and identifying part numbers. Attention to safety: The ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines when using equipment is important to maintain a safe work environment. Follow directions: The ability to follow established procedures while performing tasks, using tools, and handling materials. Carefully consider and follow instructions to complete tasks and deliver required results. Dependability: Reliability and consistency of attendance, punctuality, and completion of assigned tasks according to established standards and expectations with little supervision. Preferred Education and Experience: A high school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience. At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
