Description

We are looking for a Blume Energy Analyst to join our Liberty Blume team in London. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office.
This role merges financial oversight of product delivery with broad support across pivotal initiatives. You’ll be part of a small, agile team operating in a dynamic service environment, with responsibilities that include handling relationships with both internal stakeholders at LG and external third-party customers.
In this position, you will take ownership of a growing revenue stream, coordinating financial tracking and reporting, acting as the key liaison with the operating company (OpCo), and managing day-to-day operations of specific partnerships. You’ll also play a key role in business growth initiatives within energy services and assist in achieving post-merger alignments
This role offers a unique balance of financial accountability—managing product lines generating approximately £1 million annually—and collaborative involvement in strategic projects. As Blume expands through 2025, this position presents significant opportunities for professional growth and development within a forward-thinking organization.

What will you be doing?

  • Take full ownership of relationship management between OpCo, Treasury & Central A&R for financial hedging trade execution and application of hedge accounting
  • Lead day-to-day coordination between the OpCo and Sitigrid, with a particular focus on the VMO2 partnership.
  • Oversee financial tracking and reporting for Sitigrid operations, producing regular updates and performance summaries for senior management.
  • Support strategic partnership activities, including initial engagement, negotiation, and contract development.
  • Lead or support the development of business cases for synergy realisation, including international expansion, cross-selling opportunities, and OpCo collaboration.
  • Contribute to the integration of merged business lines, ensuring alignment across financial and operational dimensions.
  • Assist in monthly board reporting cycles, focusing on synergy prioritisation, issue resolution, and financial performance.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative subject area.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
  • Proven or demonstrated potential in stakeholder and relationship management
  • Solid understanding of business integration and synergy realisation processes

Preferred

  • Familiarity with energy markets, financial hedging strategies, or renewable energy technologies is a plus
  • Project experience within the energy sector, particularly in Finance, Consulting, Private Equity, or investment-related environments, is highly desirable
  • Exposure to or a strong interest in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including deal analysis and transaction processes

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary.
  • 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more
  • Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance
  • Matched pension contribution up to 10%
  • Access to our car benefit scheme
  • Access to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us
  • The chance to join an innovative, fast-paced and passionate team

Liberty Global is an equal opportunity employer, committed to an inclusive environment and accommodating all candidates. We’re eager to hear from you, no matter your background
