Education: Diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, building services engineering, or related field (relevant work experience can substitute). Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in operating and maintaining BMS or similar control systems in commercial/industrial settings. Technical Skills: Proficient in BMS software/hardware, knowledgeable about building system electrical/mechanical principles, and able to read schematics. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong problem - solving, good organizational, and high attention to detail. Shift Flexibility: Willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for 24/7 coverage. What this job involves System Monitoring: Continuously monitor BMS dashboards for alarms, faults, or anomalies across mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems Respond promptly to system alerts and escalate critical issues to engineering or maintenance teams Routine Operations: Adjust setpoints, schedules, and operating modes (e.g., occupied/unoccupied) based on building usage and client requirements Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for plant equipment via the BMS interface Reporting & Documentation: Log all system events, operator actions, and maintenance requests in work order systems (e.g., IBM Maximo, ServiceNow) Generate daily/weekly performance reports on energy consumption, system uptime, and alarm trends Coordination: Liaise with on-site engineers, contractors, and client representatives to support system testing, commissioning, or troubleshooting Assist in after-hours support during emergencies or planned outages. Compliance & Safety: Ensure building systems operate within regulatory, health, and safety standards (e.g., ASHRAE, local codes).Follow cybersecurity protocols when accessing control systems Interested?
