Our RAFAKidz Family
Just like our children, our waiting lists are growing! In each of our 21 settings we create experiences that are special, unique and child focused. Our staff are specially selected for their loving and caring nature, as well as their expertise. The needs of military families are unique, and at RAFAKidz we take extra care to make sure those needs are met. For every child that comes through the doors of RAFAKidz, no matter their ability, background or circumstances you could provide experiences and opportunities that will help them be confident and reach their potential.
About the role
All children are special but at RAFAKidz we believe our children are extra special. RAFAKidz is one of the chosen providers of nursery services to the RAF (Royal Air Force).  Our nursery at RAF Brize Norton (Carterton) is one of 21 settings in the RAFAKidz family. The nursery itself has around 130 children with spaces in continued demand, supported by a team of circa 60 employees.
This role combines managing the nursery at Brize Norton whilst also being a support and role model for our other Nursery Managers in the local area. This is an ideal position for a Nursery Manager looking to take the next step in their career, who in the longer term might be working towards a regional role whilst still being situated primarily at your base site of Brize Norton.

Working closely with the Director of Operations and Operations Managers, you will strategically instill the vision, mission, core values and standards of excellence of RAFAKidz in partnership with the Nursery Managers whom you are supporting in your role as Senior Nursery Manager. Key objectives include;

  • Ensuring that each Nursery provides a child centered environments with high standards

of physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care for all children.

  • That the NMs in your region manage the day-to-day running of their Nursery business and people management.
  • Supervise, support and lead the professional development of the NMs regarding the standards of quality and practices required by EYFS and The Statutory Framework and to strive to become a flagship of good practice for the sector.
  • Ensuring sustainable Nursery businesses within your region through both knowledge and understanding of the sector, and the effective management of finances and employees in relation to the occupancy levels.
  • Supporting the NMs in managing the effective, customer focused delivery of a front-line service.
