Description

We are now looking for a Board Assembly Engineer to our team in Oulu, Finland. As a Board Assembly Engineer in the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) engineering team at Nokia, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and high-quality products. You will work closely with the Product Development programs, contributing to the development of cutting-edge wireless mobility networks. Your work will also involve improving the quality, efficiency, and production methods in the Surface Mount Device (SMD) area.
Being part of the SMT engineering team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including engineers and designers. You will have the opportunity to lead engineering projects and provide expertise in your competence areas. As part of our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with Product Development programs to create innovative and high-quality products
  • Evaluate, implement, and improve Board Assembly solutions and processes
  • Influence product development and design for manufacturing issues
  • Plan and adjust line layout/capacity to meet production requirements
  • Lead engineering projects in own competence areas
  • Provide production method expertise for continuous improvement of efficiency and quality
  • Act as a gatekeeper and enabler of new production methods
  • Maintain and repair PCBs

You have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering
  • Experience in SMT production and machinery
  • General PCB repairing knowledge
  • Understanding of Design for Excellence (DfX)
  • Strong understanding of the production environment and processes
  • Knowledge of Production tools (Enovia, Creo, Valor)
  • Positive problem-solving attitude
  • Effective team teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and result-oriented attitudeExcellent written and spoken English and Finnish

    Understanding of both general product development and industrialization processes
