Description

  • Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - System-wide
    FLSA: Exempt
    Reports to: Evaluation Team Supervisor, Director of Special Education, Executive Director of Student Services.
    Terms of Employment: 194 day work year. Benefits and salary in accordance with the LEA Unit A collective bargaining agreement.
    August 25, 2025 start date. Unit A 25-26 Salary Range

Qualifications:

  • Offers training, coaching and modeling in behavior management strategies, data collection methods, and instructional methodologies for staff working with students in substantially separate programs.
  • Provides routine consultation to an interdisciplinary team of school staff to develop and implement behavior support plans and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Administers, conducts and evaluates the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures.
  • Participates in IEP meetings, contributes to goal development, supports progress monitoring and the writing of progress reports.
  • Provides in the moment behavior support when students are escalated.
  • May be asked to serve as the district trainer for de-escalation and crisis response techniques.
  • Develops data sheets, graphs and analyzes data and ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented with fidelity for the achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Provide parent consultation and/or training, as needed, during school hours.
  • Provides BCBA trainee supervision, as needed
  • Cultivates strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and school staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions across environments.
  • Maintains professional competence through ongoing professional development activities.
  • Follows Federal and state regulations and district procedures for special education, meets timelines and ensures a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
  • Assignment may change based on student needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:

  • BCBA Certification required through the BCAB
  • Valid MA LABA license
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • Expertise in data collection and behavior analysis.
  • Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Candidates are subject to background checks, including CORI Clearance and Fingerprinting.
