 $5,000 Signing Bonus   GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Under the clinical direction of the designated Clinical Supervisor and the administrative direction of the Program Supervisor, responsible for performing functional behavior assessments, developing behavioral interventions, training staff and families to implement the interventions, and ongoing monitoring, training, and adjustment to the intervention based on treatment integrity and client response to treatment. The BCBA will work in both a consultative relationship with direct care/technician staff and caregivers and delivering direct intervention.  The BCBA will work primarily with children who may have significant challenging behavior, but may be assigned to other appropriate adult or child clinical cases for the provision of behavioral support services. The individual functions as a consultant and as part of an inter-disciplinary team and services are delivered in the home and community primarily, or in a day program/center as appropriate. The BCBA will have responsibility for direct oversight of behavioral interventions implemented by direct care or technician staff, which may include observation and consultation during second and third shift as needed to appropriately support the consumer.   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) AND licensed in the state of Michigan as a Behavior Analyst, AND one (1) year clinical experience working with children as a BCBA. Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.  If serving children, must retain DCH qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional. Essential Physical Demands: * Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations. * Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations. * Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations: * Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis * Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time * Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65% * Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation   PREFERENCES: Clinical experience working with individuals with significant behavioral challenges including specific functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plan development and monitoring to target reduction and replacement of those challenging behaviors.
