Organisation: Muslim Advisory Council of Canada (MACC)
Location: Remote/Hybrid (based in Ontario)
Commitment: Part-time, volunteer basis

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, oversight, and governance to
the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada. We are currently seeking dedicated board
members with backgrounds in law and healthcare to strengthen our team and
support MACC’s mission. Board members collaborate to ensure effective
operations, sustainable growth, and impactful advocacy. Ideal candidates will be
committed to MACC’s vision, bring diverse perspectives, and offer expertise in
areas such as law, healthcare, finance, governance, advocacy, public relations, or
community development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in board governance, non-profit leadership, or executive

management is highly desirable

  • Expertise in one or more areas, including finance, law, policy, advocacy,

communications, or community development

  • Strong commitment to MACC’s mission to advance equity, inclusion, and social

justice

  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide thoughtful guidance in a

team-oriented environment

  • Proven network within relevant sectors and a track record of leveraging

relationships for community impact is an asset
