JOB DESCRIPTION

Titan Boats is looking for a skilled and innovative Marine Design Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the President to design and develop customer-driven upgrades and superstructure developments. You’ll play an integral role in revising existing models and providing detailed drawings to support our production team in fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of new boat structures and customer-required changes.
• Revise and create detailed design drawings using SolidWorks and Draftsight.
• Provide accurate cut files and design support for production.
• Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and define build strategies to ensure smooth production processes.
• Offer design support to vendors and internal departments during production.
• Track production issues and ensure quality control, offering technical solutions and communicating with key stakeholders.
• Act as a backup for CNC operations when needed.
• Participate in production meetings, follow safety guidelines, and support project goals.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or marine equivalent.
• Industry certifications are an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine design.
• Experience in production environments is a must.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Rhino (preferred).
• Knowledge of CNC pathing software and aluminum boat manufacturing (preferred).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with geometry or master-part-based modeling (preferred).
• Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office, and other relevant software.
