  Smoker Craft, Inc currently has an opening for Boat Repair! This position works from our plant in New Paris, IN.  Starting pay is $22.46/hr. and with positive reviews can be increased to $24.46/hr. after 60 days.   Shift Schedule varies from 40 hours in the Summer and up to 56 hours in the Winter with Saturdays as needed.   Responsibilities include: * Complete boat repairs on any of our boat lines (aluminum/fiberglass/pontoon).  * Troubleshoot electrical problems and put electrical items back together. * Perform aluminum Mig welding and Tig welding, complete rivet repairs, and clean boats to a high-quality standard. * Dealing with intermittent workloads.  * Work in a team environment and serve as backup to other positions. * Be accurate and timely with repairs. * Complete other duties as assigned. Required skills and experience: * Position will require lifting consoles, batteries, etc. out of the boats weighing up to 40 lbs. * Crawl and work underneath boats. * Use battery-operated drills, screw impact drivers, and some air tools. * Read a tape measure.  * Preferrable if candidates can operate a forklift. * Shift flexibility, as scheduled hours change through the seasons.   Schedule:  8-to-10-hour shifts For example: Summer months 40 hours Mon-Wed 9-hour days, Thursday 8-hour days and Fridays 5-hour days Winter months (busy season) can be 44 to 56 hours per week From January to April, the department typically works every Saturday depending on the workload.   Equal opportunity employer Only qualified candidates will be contacted Must be authorized to work in the United States At Smoker Craft Incorporated, we believe that each employee contributes directly to the company’s growth and success!
