Description Description Tideman Marine, a division of United Plastic Fabricating, designs and manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) boats for military and commercial marine use. Based in Ocala, Florida, USA, Tideman Marine operates a cutting-edge facility dedicated to designing and constructing welded HDPE vessels and custom marine products. Perform a wide variety of tasks in a small industrial boat manufacturing facility. Tasks performed may include advanced electrical work on the line, panel wiring and troubleshooting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs assembly line wiring/electrical work like running drops and buss bars, and hooking up less complex or minor components Installs various outboards Installs various types of equipment Installation of all wiring, fuel and control and oil systems Install correct size and approved fuel, exhaust and water hoses Installs steering systems in accordance with OEM instruction Calibrate gauges in accordance with OEM instructions Familiarity with ABYC standards and install equipment according to its guidelines Ability to install various drive systems such as water jets, inboard gas and diesel, stern drive, shaft drive and various outboards Ability to fabricate equipment panels/brackets as necessary Ability to install (including separation of systems) fresh/raw water and sanitary systems Requirements Education and Experience: High School Education or GED equivalent 3 years of upfitting boats Required Mechanical Aptitude Ability to read and understand prints ABYC Standards certification a plus
