Description About Us Tideman Marine, a division of United Plastic Fabricating, designs and manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) boats for military and commercial marine use. Based in Ocala, Florida, USA, Tideman Marine operates a cutting-edge facility dedicated to designing and constructing welded HDPE vessels and custom marine products. We are seeking experienced Boat Upfitters to join our team in a fast-paced, small industrial boat manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical installation work to ensure high-quality vessel assembly. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced electrical installation, including panel wiring, routing wire drops, buss bars, system troubleshooting, and gauge calibration Install and connect key vessel systems, including wiring, fuel, oil, control, exhaust, and water systems in accordance with specifications Fabricate and install custom components (panels, brackets, mounting systems) and align steering systems per OEM guidelines Read and interpret blueprints and schematics while ensuring all work meets ABYC standards and is completed efficiently in a production environment Compensation: $23-$28/hour based on experience and qualifications Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 4 years of boat upfitting or marine assembly experience (Required) Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with marine systems and rigging practices ABYC certification preferred Pre-Employment Requirements Must be able to successfully pass drug screening and background check This employer uses E-Verify
