Boat Yard Hand
Based in beautiful Sorrento on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club is home to Australia’s largest Couta Boat fleet. We are looking for an enthusiastic Marine Yard Hand to join our team. If you love working on the water and take pride in delivering high-quality results, this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Launching and retrieving boats
• Pressure washing, fibreglass and RHIB tube cleaning
• General bosun duties where required
• Routine boat maintenance and yard upkeep
• Assisting with facility maintenance as needed

About You:

• Previous experience in boat yard work or a similar role is an advantage, but not essential – we’ll train the right person
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Marine knowledge and good communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and in marine environments
• Competent with power tools and basic maintenance tasks
• Valid boat and driver’s licence
• Fit, motivated, and able to meet physical demands (including some lifting)
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team under time pressure

Pay: $26.28 – $38.27 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week

Experience:

• working outdoors and in marine environment: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Full Driver Licence (Required)
