REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry
  • Proficient in using estimating software, such as CCC One or Mitchell, with a strong understanding of repair methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Preferred:

  • Icar certification or equivalent industry-recognized qualification
  • Experience in a dealership environment or high-volume body shop
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and the ability to work with different insurance carriers

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND RELEVANT TECHNOLOGIES

  • Proficient in collision repair estimating software and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including structural and non-structural repairs
  • Familiarity with OEM specifications and guidelines for repairs

In this in-person role, you will utilize your expertise in collision repair estimating to assess damage, prepare accurate estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair needs, utilizing advanced estimating software and tools
  • Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labor, and paint costs, while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with technicians and management to streamline repair processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of repairs, estimates, and timelines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, repair techniques, and insurance protocols to ensure accurate and effective estimates
  • Work on-site with insurance adjusters and clients to resolve discrepancies and negotiate repair costs as necessary
