Description Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and manage all body shop operations, including scheduling weekly tasks for production workers, optimizing productivity, and ensuring availability of required parts for jobs. Implement strict quality control measures, inspecting and approving all completed jobs personally, and maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures. Prepare accurate estimates for repairs in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring proper documentation of all jobs and payments received. Accurately track, manage, and report body shop payroll. Oversee the maintenance and repair of company facilities and equipment, maintaining a comprehensive maintenance schedule. Maintain effective communication with all company personnel, utilizing electronic communication systems according to company requirements. Ensure all documentation is complete, organized, and timely. Demonstrate professional conduct at all times, strictly adhering to time management requirements, and using company equipment solely for company-related activities. Be available to assist with various tasks, including operating tow trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment as needed. Oversee parts inventory, software systems, and assist with more complex jobs when required. Participate in the review and renegotiation of vendor pricing, discounts, and delivery costs to optimize the procurement process. Effectively manage accounts receivable for all revenue-generating work and ensure the accurate recording of these transactions in QuickBooks. Be fully informed of all company policies & procedures. Creation and periodic updating of all training policies/procedures (SOP’s). Preparation and submission of payroll for production workers on a timely basis based only on fully completed jobs Assist with maintenance and repair of company facilities and equipment, including regularly scheduled maintenance as needed Prepare and maintain a comprehensive schedule of all maintenance for all facilities/locations. Requirements Demonstrated experience in automotive body shop management with a track record of successful operations and customer satisfaction. A minimum of 5 years of body shop experience is required. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities to optimize productivity and efficiency. In-depth knowledge of industry-standard practices, quality control, and vehicle repair procedures. Previous experience using CCC1 estimating software is strongly desired. Familiarity with electronic communication systems and documentation management. Experience in desktop and laptop computer maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar invoicing software is an advantage. Valid driver's license and ability to operate tow trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment.
