Description Thomas Automotive Body Shop Parts Coordinator Job Description Position Information: The full time Body Shop Parts Coordinator assists the Body Shop Manager with the operation of an efficient and profitable service department. S/he will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records. Successfully Maintain the following accountabilities Order parts per estimate Receive and verify part condition and accuracy Pre-stage and check parts pricing to estimate Approve and process parts invoices Expedite timely parts returns Duties and Responsibilities: Greet every customer, every day Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards Supports the Body Shop Manager with administrative and clerical duties as assigned Maintain a professional appearance and attitude Open and close body shop Open and close repair orders Research and order parts for secured jobs Receive, verify, and bin parts for incoming jobs Load parts carts or move parts to bay area for technician’s assigned jobs To keep updated records of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards Requirements Qualifications: Knowledge of automotive parts, repair and maintenance. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Manual dexterity. Good judgment. Ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely. Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. Will stand and sit six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. S/he will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and feel. Will use hand and power tools.
