Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

To prepare, spray and efficiently finish vehicles ensuring correctness of colour match and final finish to the company and customer’s expected standard.
Qualified Staff – Your main tasks will be completed without supervision and include providing direct supervision to non-qualified technicians where applicable.
Non-Qualified Staff – Your main tasks will be completed with direct supervision from a qualified Technician.

MAIN TASKS

  • Understand the general principles of spray-painting technology, paint composition, paint mixing and the various methods of paint-spraying vehicles. Also to update your knowledge regularly when product developments/improvements take place. Attend training courses as necessary.
  • Prepare vehicles fully before painting to include masking, sanding, and other necessary preparation work. Spray paint to the required finish/standard always having regard for customer care/satisfaction.
  • Always use the prescribed safety apparatus/clothing, attend company-arranged medicals and follow all necessary guidance provided by the medical professionals. Report any deterioration in health or vision to your manager without delay.
  • Keep all company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.
  • To co-operate with colleagues and team leaders to ensure that common objectives and group targets are achieved.

OTHER DUTIES

Due to the size and complexity of the establishments you will undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties that are deemed to be within your capability, as directed by a senior manager to whom you have a reporting relationship.
