Description We are seeking an experienced Boiler Technician to join our mechanical services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-pressure and low-pressure steam boilers and a strong background in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of boiler systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair steam boiler systems (high-pressure and low-pressure). Perform routine and preventive maintenance on boilers, burners, pumps, valves, controls, and related mechanical systems. Diagnose system malfunctions and recommend corrective actions. Conduct boiler startups, shutdowns, and combustion tuning. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including ASME and OSHA standards. Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately. Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Participate in emergency service calls and on-call rotations as required. Requirements Required Qualifications Proven experience working with steam boilers, including high-pressure and low-pressure systems. Strong knowledge of boiler safety systems, controls, and combustion principles. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Boiler Operator or Stationary Engineer License (or ability to obtain). Experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical environments. Experience with hydronic systems, burners, and control systems. Welding or pipefitting experience a plus. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in mechanical rooms, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work on elevated surfaces.
