Skillforce Recruitment are seeking local Boilermakers for ongoing work in the Perth Metro Area .


Our Clients are becoming very busy leading up to the festive season and have projects on the go to keep you busy. Be home every night with the family and enjoy weekends spent with family .


About the Role


  • Read and interpret shop detail drawings
  • Mark out, cut, drill, grind, prepare, fit and fabricate steel components.
  • Fabricate pipework, including small bore and large bore pipe spools.
  • Fabricate structural steel, including beams, columns, brackets and associated steelwork.
  • Fabricate platework, including chutes, hoppers, guards and similar items.
  • Fabricate mechanical steelwork, including skids, frames, supports and general fabricated assemblies.
  • Carry out fit-up work to suit welding requirements and drawing tolerances.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
  • Handle steel materials safely, including manual handling and use of lifting equipment.
  • Operate workshop overhead cranes where competent and authorised.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Follow all site safety requirements, procedures and supervisor instructions.
  • Work in accordance with drawings, job cards, specifications and quality requirements.

  • Australian Regonized Trade Certificate
  • Valid Forklift Ticket
  • Previous Manufacturing Background
  • Reliable Transport
  • Able to pass a pre employment medical
  • Able to obtain a Clean National Police Clearance

These opportunities will suit experienced trade leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering quality outcomes while leading high-performing teams.

About the RoleAs a Leading Hand Boilermaker, you will provide frontline supervision and technical guidance to boilermaker and maintenance crews, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Leading and coordinating boilermaker and maintenance teams during shutdown and maintenance activities
  • Supervising structural, piping, fabrication, repair, and fixed plant maintenance works
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture on site
  • Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks, and daily work planning activities
  • Monitoring productivity, work progress, and workforce performance
  • Assisting with resource allocation, job sequencing, and work prioritisation
  • Liaising with supervisors, planners, QA/QC personnel, and client representatives
  • Providing mentoring and support to tradespeople and apprentices
