About the role

Bendigo Metals / Hartway Galvanizers is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder/Fixed Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team in Canning Vale, WA. This is a full-time position that combines metalworking expertise with maintenance responsibilities to support our manufacturing and galvanising operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our fabricated products and the reliability of our production equipment, contributing directly to the success and efficiency of our business.

Key responsibilities

• General metal fabrication and structural steel work
• Mig welding
• Fabrication and repair of plant and equipment.
• Fault finding and preventative maintenance
• Strong understanding of technical drawings.
• Using workshop machinery and hand tools
• Follow all health and safety protocols and workplace procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality targets
• Keep work areas clean and organised, adhering to housekeeping standards

BOILERMAKER / FABRICATOR TRADESMAN

Martin Metal Works is looking for an experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator Tradesman to join our team in a mainly workshop-based role at our Longwarry facility.

We are a family-owned business carrying out structural and mechanical steel fabrication for the quarry, concrete, industrial and commercial sectors.

THE ROLE

The majority of the position will be based in our workshop and will involve:

• Structural steel fabrication.
• Conveyors, chutes, hoppers and bins.
• Platforms, stairs, handrails and walkways.
• Machinery and plant components.
• General heavy fabrication.
• MIG welding.
• Reading and working from fabrication drawings.
• Fit-up and assembly of fabricated components.
• Occasional onsite installation, maintenance or shutdown work when required.
