Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to company growth we are seeking a Boilermaker/First Class Welder to join our Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis on a salary of $100,500 per annum. Salaries are based on 38 hours per week, however you will be paid for all hours worked.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Carry out maintenance activities according to plan
  • Carry out breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner
  • Provide accurate information to update the maintenance information system
  • Follow and complete all required reports correctly
  • Monitor the environment and report to the Line Manager on an ongoing basis regarding status of plant and equipment
  • Understand all relevant policies, procedures and legislative obligations
  • Take corrective action where necessary in response to reported defects
  • Work in accordance with the shutdown department HSEQ plans which focus on all aspects of the HSEQ system
  • Carry out work in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Fabrication Trade Certificate
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of welding procedures
  • Ability to fabricate, service, diagnose and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment.
  • Excellent communications and organisational skills
  • Previous FIFO or mine site experience
  • Working at Heights
