UGL are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers/Welders to work on the decommissioning of some of the largest oil and gas fields in Australia. Job Title: Boilermaker/Welder Location: Offshore in Sale/Bass Strait Join a Tier 1 Business Exceptional Work Culture: Supportive and Collaborative Team In this role, you will: Interpret and work from engineering drawings, workpacks, and specifications. Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components and piping systems. Perform cutting, grinding, and welding using approved procedures and equipment. Carry out welding tasks in accordance with AS/NZS standards and offshore requirements. Conduct pre-weld preparation, fit-up, and alignment of components. Operate and maintain welding and fabrication tools safely and efficiently. Perform quality checks on completed welds and fabricated components. Assist with dismantling and removal of structures during decommissioning. Work closely with inspectors to ensure compliance with welding procedures. Maintain accurate daily progress reports and documentation. Demonstrate flexibility to undertake additional duties as required. To be considered for the role, you will have: Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Welder. Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and welding (offshore experience highly regarded). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols. Strong understanding of safety standards and offshore work practices. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Ability to work effectively in confined spaces and as part of a team. Required Certifications & Tickets: Welding Certification Offshore Safety Training (BOSIET training provided) MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card). (Training provided) Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry. Current First Aid & CPR.
