Description
Responsibilities
  • Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Construct, assemble and install components, including tanks, modules, pipe supports, steel structure and pressure vessels, following blueprints, drawings, and specifications with high precision.
  • Perform welding tasks using techniques such as FCAW, GMAW and SMAW based on project requirements and material specifications.
  • Weld plate and structural components in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion.
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques
  • Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.
  • Ability to mark out and measure accurately.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers;
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain and care for welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed: including Daily weld logs, Consumable logs, Workpacks and Weld maps.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
