About the role We are seeking experienced and safety‑focused Boilermakers to support fabrication, repairs and structural maintenance across an Alumina Smelter. You will work on fixed plant assets, shutdown scopes, and major maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting safe production. This role will involve welding, structural repairs, plate work, chutes, hoppers, conveyors and general heavy‑fabrication tasks across an operational processing facility. Key Responsibilities Perform welding, fabrication and structural repairs to plant and equipment. Work on chutes, pumps, tanks, hoppers, pipework, conveyors and other fixed‑plant assets. Complete shutdown maintenance tasks, project work and general plant upkeep. Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions for accurate fabrication. Perform oxy cutting, gouging, MIG/TIG/Stick welding and plate fabrication. Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance requirements. Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical and operations teams to support plant reliability. About you Trade‑qualified Boilermaker with experience in mining, heavy industrial or minerals processing environments (bauxite/alumina highly regarded). Strong welding and fabrication skills across structural steel, plate work and fixed‑plant repairs. Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and technical information. Experienced in shutdowns, maintenance and high‑risk work environments. Strong safety mindset with experience working under permit‑to‑work systems.
