Description
TITLE: License and Permit Specialist II – Licensing (0171) (B14)
DEFINITION: Performs moderately complex (journey-level) licensing and permitting work, receiving, and reviewing license and permit applications; ensuring compliance with applicable policies, administrative codes, and statutes; communicating with external and internal customers; and approving licenses and permits. Provides moderately complex technical and administrative assistance to the Department Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with personal computer operations and processing software (MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
Two (2) years of experience in customer service, administrative, or technical support work in a regulatory or office setting. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Two (2) years experience in composing business documents with effective use of grammar, and audience appropriate content.
Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure including communications infrastructure and cybersecurity infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a related field is preferred.
Experience in professional licensing or credentialing is a plus.
Demonstrated interest in public service or regulatory compliance is preferred.
Three (3) years of experience working in a business administration office or professional setting.
