JOB OVERVIEW

The Bond Specialist will oversee V. Alexander’s Bond Management Product. The role is highly client facing, and would require engaging with members of multiple organizations at all levels of leadership from CEO to Supply Chain Specialists. The primary function of the role is to act as liaison between V. Alexander’s customers and our Sureties to keep Import Bonds up to date, and sufficient according to Customs and Border Patrol’s regulatory requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of industry experience with imports and freight forwarding.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Highly organized, and the ability to work in multiple applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and our ERP.
• Excellent prioritization skills and maintaining client facing composure in high pressure situations.
• Limited knowledge of financial terminology preferred.

• Perform Bond Renewal Transactions.
• Perform Bond Transfer Transactions.
• Bill clients for Bond Service Functions.
• Offer advice to importers on best practices and options in the management of Bonds, Bond Renewals, and meeting sufficiency requirements.
• Act as liaison for V. Alexander’s Surety Vendor including collecting and sharing with surety and client financial data & credit security requirements.
• Alert clients of Bonds near maximum utilization, and assist with extending bond terms.
• Alert clients of expiring Bonds and assist with renewal.
• Customer facing role. Bond management can be a volatile business, our Bond Specialist must be able to effectively explain complex industry specific problems to the layman.
