With more than 100 years of experience, we build quality into every fiber, letting your ideas take flight.   Position Overview: Must be able to pass certification requirements to successfully operate computer-controlled equipment used in the process and fabrication of bond details and bond assemblies. This includes equipment such as autoclaves, ATLM machines, ply cutters, tow placement machines, 5 axis and 3 axis machines (Mag, Par, Komo, Water Jet) and any new computer-controlled equipment used to process or fabricate bond details and bond assemblies. The employee will be required to select, install and align proper cutters, zero in machine references, set proper cutter depth and coordinate proper feeds, speeds and cutter dimensions. Select correct autoclave cure program for parts to be cured. Program shop floor programmable equipment when necessary. Fabricate shop aids such as stops, guides, feeding aides and blocks to facilitate machining. Load part program and check against programming sheet before actual machine operation. Recognize improper functioning of machines and take proper corrective action. Must be able to use a variety of measuring equipment (micrometers, scales, calipers, height gauges, thickness gauges, etc.) to check own work and to perform audit and final inspection functions. Make daily maintenance check of machines and accessories. Maintain all required records. Refer unusual problems to lead or supervisor. In addition to the functions, duties, and responsibilities outlined for a Bond Inspector Senior labor grade 33, employees must also be able to perform additional responsibilities including conducting tests and measurements using specialized tools and equipment, autoclave run report interpretations and formatting of reports, laser projection calibrations, particle count readings as required by specifications. Drive quality first time yield by, being part of root cause corrective action process, performing inspections and self-inspection and validate work is ready to present to inspection and/or customer.  Noted duties are not all inclusive, additional responsibilities will be assigned based on need. 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
