OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial reports to support decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles including double entry bookkeeping
  • Experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting preferred
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with financial report writing and budgeting processes
  • Excellent technical accounting skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry
  • Previous experience in payroll processing is a plus
  • Knowledge of tax regulations related to bookkeeping is advantageous

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial records
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar tools for efficient record-keeping
  • Provide account analysis and support for both corporate and non-profit accounting needs
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits to ensure accurate reporting
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices in bookkeeping
