JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for budgeting purposes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets, monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software, such as Sage, to record financial transactions and generate reports.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain organized financial documents and records for easy retrieval during audits or reviews.
