JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Booking Officer to join our team, based at Wynford House in Yeovil. In this role, you’ll provide efficient and accurate booking and administrative support for Yeovil District Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital, helping to keep services running smoothly for both patients and staff.
You’ll also offer friendly and professional reception support to Outpatients at Yeovil District Hospital when needed, ensuring a warm welcome and great first impression.
This role calls for flexibility, attention to detail, and strong administrative skills. You’ll be working across multiple hospital systems, adapting to different tasks and priorities in a busy, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES, TASKS & SKILLS REQUIRED

Deal with day to day correspondence, provide a booking service to patients and other parties in a friendly and professional manner.
Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of team members and taking appropriate action where necessary.
Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.
Reception duties in Outpatients YDH.
Process referrals and arrange appropriate outpatient appointments.
Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.
