At Futurewhiz, we create digital learning products that help children unlock their full potential. To keep our mission running smoothly, we’re looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper to strengthen our finance team for 24 hours a week.

WHO ARE YOU?

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, structured, and proactive. Ideally, you have:

  • A minimum of three years work experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Dutch accounting and tax regulations, IFRS is a plus
  • Experience with accounting software (Exact Online), invoice approval tools (Elvy) and spend management software (moss)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Accuracy, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good communication skills in English (and preferably Dutch)
  • You are a team player that can also work independently and like to proactively manage the administrative processes
  • Availability of approximately 24 hours a week

Responsibilities

As our Bookkeeper, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial administration is accurate, up to date, and compliant. Your responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase invoices and maintaining the finance mailbox
  • Managing the invoice approval system,
  • Reconciling bank transactions and payment runs
  • Preparing VAT declarations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Collaborating with the Finance Team on ad-hoc financial analyses
  • Keeping our accounting systems and records organized
