POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the smooth financial operation of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of bookkeeping experience who is looking to grow with a dynamic and professional team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Experience in an insurance or brokerage environment is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Process payroll and related remittances (if applicable)
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Track and manage expenses, invoices, and client payments
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Liaise with accountants and auditors as needed
  • Support other administrative and financial tasks as required
