Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant
Job type: In office, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F
Salary: $60,000-$75,000
About the position: This is a full-time, permanent position and will start as soon as a suitable candidate is found. We may convert into hourly based position with 30 hours/week at $30-$37/hour.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an energetic, personable, academically astute and a very trustworthy candidate to manage every aspect of our accounting. An ideal candidate would have 3-5 years experience in managing full cycle of accounting in a mid-sized company and must have a degree/diploma in Accounting/Finance. REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Exceptional personality and very trustworthy
2. Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in accounting/finance
3. 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in a mid-size company
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Extensive experience in QuickBooks
6. Exhibit high levels of organization skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities of this position are:
1. Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial record keeping for the company
2. Reconcile bank statements
3. Create invoices and follow up on them
4. Track all expenses in QuickBooks
5. Prepare financial reports for management
6. Prepare tax returns, T4, T5, T2
7. Track all expenses in QuickBooks
8. Prepare month-end documentation.
9. May include office manager related duties
10. Quarterly and Year-End Reporting
11. Conduct regular account analysis to identify discrepancies or trends
12. Comprehensive understanding of full cycle of accounting
13. Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and post journal entries
14. Reconcile entries and prepare trial balance
15. Execute Year End Financial Statements
