Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant Pay: $20 – $25 per hour  Location: Manasquan, NJ  Employment Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to support our accounting department with daily financial tasks. This role will assist with data entry, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance using Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with the accounting team and other departments.--- Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable * Enter and process vendor invoices in Sage Intacct * Verify invoice details * Assist with payment processing Accounts Receivable Support * Help track customer invoices and payments * Assist with applying payments to accounts * Follow up on outstanding balances when needed Bank & Deposit Reconciliations * Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations * Compare daily deposits to accounting records * Identify and report discrepancies * Assist with updating accounting spreadsheets Accounting Support * Assist with month-end closing tasks * Prepare simple financial reports when requested * Support the accounting team with administrative tasks Qualifications: Required * 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting assistant experience * Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations * MUST have experience with Sage Intacct * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Basic Excel or spreadsheet skills * Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision * Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment Preferred * Experience with ServiceTitan * Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field Skills * Data entry accuracy * Organization and time management * Basic accounting principles * Microsoft Excel * Sage Intacct
Responsibilities
