ORGANIZATION MISSION

Clear Creek Rock House is a faith based, non-profit organization which has been supporting Clear Creek County’s underprivileged youth in grades 6 through 12 for over 20 years. The teens we serve typically come from low income, non-traditional families. We provide no-cost tutoring and weekly one-on-one mentoring, incorporating life skills, fun activities, and community service opportunities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Administrative Assistant provides general office support for a variety of clerical activities and tasks. This individual has strong organizational and technological skills and is a team player who is comfortable in a small non-profit organization that requires multitasking. We are seeking someone with an easy-going personality willing to demonstrate flexibility, humor and adaptability to rapidly changing situations when needed. This individual is service-oriented with strong relationship skills for dealing with donors, volunteers, board members, and the local community. This is NOT a remote position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly experienced in QuickBooks, Excel, Word and Gusto
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player
  • Familiar with office equipment (printers, computers, etc.)
  • Competent in advanced bookkeeping and online accounting
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 5 – 8 per week

Responsibilities

BOOKKEEPING TASKS:

  • Record payments and deposits in QuickBooks
  • Pay recurring bills, contractors, and employees
  • Oversee Gusto operations
  • Pay invoices and reimbursements

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS:

  • Complete grant reimbursement requests
  • Create letters for donors at the end of each year for tax purposes
  • Organize and maintain accounting files
  • Generate reports upon request
  • Help prepare the annual budget
  • Attend monthly employee meetings and record minutes
  • Maintain spreadsheet with donor information
  • Write thank you notes and create receipts for donors
