JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a background in bookkeeping and financial reporting, preferably with experience in the construction industry. We are also willing to have a more junior bookkeeper come on board so long as they are willing to work hard, learn quickly and integrate themselves effectively within the team. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of financial principles to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient operations. The candidate will be responsible for payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and administering job specific financial information to team members and clients.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant or appropriate schooling.
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including account reconciliation, budgeting, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and conducting account analysis to support financial planning.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and JobTread (construction software)
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Administer the company payroll.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
