JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and be proficient in various accounting software. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining accurate financial records within our organization.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, governmental accounting, and technical accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and financial report writing.
  • Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting practices.
  • Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to interact with team members and stakeholders. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while providing essential administrative support to the team. Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare journal entries and conduct balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and others for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards in all financial activities.
  • Conduct account reconciliation and assist with bank reconciliation processes.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting activities.
  • Analyze accounts and provide insights on financial concepts to management.
