OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Controller to manage the day-to-day accounting functions and ensure the financial health of the business. This hybrid role combines hands-on bookkeeping with higher-level financial oversight and reporting, making it ideal for a candidate with both tactical and strategic accounting experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping and/or controller-level experience
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks online) and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses is preferred
  • CPA designation a plus, but not required

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax filings and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with CPA or external accountants for tax preparation and audits
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting best practices
  • Handle vendor relationships, invoice processing, and expense reporting
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and KPIs
