OVERVIEW

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Controller/Bookkeeper to oversee our financial records and ensure the smooth operation of our accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, executing contracts, preparing financial statements, and managing budgeting and forecasting. Your expertise will help us maintain financial health and support our continued growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or custom cabinetry environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA designation or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems or specialized accounting software for manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific financial practices and cost structures.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processing.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate cost tracking for materials and labor.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
