Job Overview:
Lysosomal and Rare Disorders Research and Treatment Center, Inc, (LDRTC) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) human research and treatment center. We are searching for a financial analyst specifically for the Clinical Trials Research Department. LDRTC runs multiple clinical trials that span many years and works with many vendors to provide services to our research patients. The financial analyst position will be in office part-time. They are responsible for the following tasks:
· Creating spreadsheets that track invoiced items as well as payments received.
· Matching payments across multiple studies to invoiced items and confirming correct amounts received.
· Ability to read and understand contracts which specify payment terms.
· Timely documentation of received payments.
· Communication with payers when payments are overdue.
· Creating and sometimes re-creating invoices based on payers’ requests.
· Document all expenses paid to vendors organized by study for easy report creation.
· Sending quarterly vendor invoices to staff to assist in creating invoices to be sent to payers.
· Financial management of each study independently of one another.
This is a new position, and the appropriate candidate will be able to be flexible as we mold the tasks and processes to what fits best within our institution. Good organizational skills are a must. Preference is given to someone who has financial experience with clinical trial research.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Experience with financial software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in creating pivot tables and reports using financial software and systems.
- Experience with financial planning and forecasting, including budgeting and variance analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with data collection and analysis, including identifying trends and areas for improvement.
