BOOKKEEPER / FINANCIAL ASSISTANT

Job Type: Full Time (45-55+ hours/ weekly)
Triple Inc. is looking for a Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to join our team. The position will include various bookkeeping, accounting and financing job functions.
Reports directly to the Director of Accounting/Finance

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Manufacturing and working in a manufacturing facility
  • ERP systems related to finance (experience with Global Shop would be a plus)
  • General knowledge of Quality Management Systems, specifically AS9100

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years in all phases of financial statement reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with an emphasis on Financial Statement reporting - Preferred
  • Experience with a company of $20M plus in sales volume
    Work Environment:
    This job operates in an office environment. The job requires minimal travel between local plants (all locations in Troy, MI). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
    Triple Inc. is a manufacturer of Precision Components for the Aerospace Industry. These components include matched valves for fuel systems, spindles and shafts for motors and transmissions, pistons and shoes for hydraulic pumps and various close tolerance housings. Triple has worked in the Aerospace and Defense industry for over 65 years.

Responsibilities
  • This position will be a resource responsible for managing the General Ledger for an efficient, timely and accurate month-end and quarter end closing of financial statements for Triple Inc.
  • Review and analyze General Ledger accounts and make recommendations for developing business processes related to improvement of financial statement results.
  • This position will oversee the Accounts Receivable function and the billing process with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • This position will oversee the Accounts Payable function with a focus on accuracy and prudent cash management.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, managing depreciation schedules including additions and disposals.
  • Supervise, guide, train and assist staff with assignments, issues and workload.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting/Finance in managing the job cost inventory for valuation and reporting improvements.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting/Finance in Cash Flow reporting including producing required reports to the banking institution.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures insuring they are thoroughly and continually maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
